Bond's car auctioned off for money pennies

To celebrate the release of The Quantum Of Solace movie, we polled fans of to find out your favourite James Bond memorabilia of all time. The result was one outright winner... the car that had us all gasping when it plunged deep into the sea to escape a rocket-equipped chopper before its glorious gadgetry had it emerge unscathed onto a beach in The Spy Who Loved Me. Yes, James Bond's white, subaquatic Lotus Esprit was the stuff of childhood dreams back in 1977, and it looks like it still is.

Well, the good news is that, if you've got a spare £120,000 then you could become the owner of that very car when it goes up for sale next month. London auction house, Bonhams, is anticipating great interest in the 1976 Lotus Esprit, but have you got what it takes to sit in the same seat as Roger Moore

If not, why not pick up a vintage toy model of the car? It comes with fins that pop out at the press of a button as well as missiles that shoot out haphazardly. The toy is selling from just 99p on eBay and you can find out more about it here.

Also for sale is the car registration plate 'AU1' from the Goldfinger Bond film. It featured on Goldfinger's Rolls Royce Phantom III, and is expected to fetch £80,000 money pennies!
